Material
Casting stone
As usual, all effigies of Eef Borger are made in cast stone. Cast stone is made from selectively chosen high-quality raw materials. After mixing these raw materials, they are poured into a mold. After removing the images from the mold, the semi-finished product is further processed in various ways. The end result is a cast stone with a high-quality appearance, which is resistant to external influences and can therefore also be placed outside in the garden, for example. Each image is unique due to the hand of the master at the final finish.

All images were originally made from clay by Eef Borger in recent decades. One or more casting molds of these clay models are made of silicone. At our production location, these molds are filled with a mixture of high-quality raw materials and some additives. After removing the images from the mold, the images are post-treated. Initially, the casting seams are removed, after which the images are polished. After polishing, the images can be finished in various ways. The post-treatment is 'the blacksmith's secret' and ensures the unique appearance of our cast stone effigies.
